"Cliche' to Cachet: Seeking Your Signature Style"
The goal of this fun, lively workshop is to begin the search for your signature style.
The focus will be on developing a unique point of view, dynamic composition, rich textures, lighting and working in a series.
We’ll
explore studio practices and techniques that can be used to create new
exciting paintings. A variety of demonstrations and discussions will
include: point of view, masking & saving whites, salt & other
textures, glazing & building a background, photos as reference not
subject, understanding light & shadows, and studio set up.
Students
will combine these new techniques and concepts with their personal
reference materials and choice of water media in an abstract ro
representational painting. There will be both individual assistance and
critiques plus group critiques.
All levels welcome if comfortable with mediums and materials.
